Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change.

The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict.

You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history.
KEY FEATURES:

    * Be an Assassin Master the skills, tactics, and weapons of history's deadliest and most secretive clan of warriors. Plan your attacks, strike without mercy, and fight your way to escape.
    * Realistic and responsive environments Experience a living, breathing world in which all your actions have consequences. Crowds react to your moves and will either help or hinder you on your quests.
    * Action with a new dimension - total freedom Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however. Stalk your prey through richly detailed, historically accurate, open-ended environments. Scale buildings, mount horses, blend in with crowds. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.
    * Relive the epic times of the Crusades Assassin's Creed immerses you in the realistic and historical Holy Land of the 12th century, featuring life-like graphics, ambience, and the subtle, yet detailed nuances of a living world.
    * Intense action rooted in reality Experience heavy action blended with fluid and precise animations. Use a wide range of medieval weapons, and face your enemies in realistic swordfight duels.
    * Next-gen gameplay The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for the next-gen console allows organic game design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic.

Rodrigues blasts off in New York PDF Print E-mail
MTV babe Lyndsey Rodrigues blasts off in New York

AFTER spending two weeks sampling life in the Big Apple, Sydney starlet Lyndsey Rodrigues has just taken a serious career chomp out of it - while 93 million people watched on.
Glammed up and ready to rock, Rodrigues kicked off her new job as the host of MTV's flagship program Total Request Live program, filmed live daily from New York's entertainment mecca Times Square. Gallery Galleries: She's hot | First day | Her replacement » Far from biting off more than she can chew, the 26-year-old North Shore stunner summarised her first day with an appropriately American catch-cry - simply saying: "I had a blast!"

After interviewing hip-hop mogul Wyclef Jean and rock act Simple Plan on Monday, Rodrigues will turn the volume up a notch when she comes face to face with Hollywood superstar Will Smith live on the program today.

Smith's latest film, the apocalyptic blockbuster I Am Legend, hits US cinemas on Friday, and the big screen hero hasn't missed the opportunity to promote it on one of America's most popular cable TV shows.

Not that Rodrigues is phased, to say the least.

As the vivacious presenter told Confidential, the biggest problem she's facing right now is trying to get rid of her goofy grin.

"I had such a blast today - I felt right at home with the TRL gang and could not wipe the smile from my face all day,'' Rodrigues said.

Madonna's New Stuff Is Hot PDF Print E-mail
Madonna's New Stuff Is Hot

Madonna's new music is hott, according to one-time uber producer Pharrell Williams, who has been in the studio with the mother of modern pop.

Williams said in an interview with the Daily Star, "It was crazy. I don't want to say too much. I'd rather wait for you to hear it. It's awesome though, it makes the speakers bleed. It's hot!"

There is no date or title for the album as of yet, but reports are that it's going to also feature collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.

Timbaland earlier said of the album, "It's kinda like Holiday with an R&B groove," and claimed there would be no electro-pop like her last record 'Confessions on a Dance Floor'.

It will also be her last contractually obliged record to Warner Bros Records, so we can probably expect a new best of to appear next year too.
